Ms. Katz assists businesses seeking non-immigrant and immigrant visa status for key employees and advises regarding I-9 compliance.  She also advises individuals and families on immigration options.  Ms. Katz is a graduate of Georgetown University Law Center (J.D.1992).  After graduation she served as a law clerk to Judge Richard Haik (U.S. District Court, W. District Louisiana) and Judge William Moore (U.S. District Court, S. District Georgia).   Prior to opening her own practice in Birmingham, she practiced immigration law with Fisher & Phillips and Smith, Gambrell & Russell in Atlanta, Georgia and with Hunter Maclean Exley & Dunn in Savannah.  She is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and served on the AILA Atlanta Chapter Executive Committee 2002-2006.
