The focus of Ms. Myers’s practice is business immigration, assisting businesses who need to hire key foreign professional workers with obtaining non-immigrant and immigrant visas. Within the area of business immigration, she has experience with healthcare professionals including physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech language pathologists, and nurses. She also works with employers in the field of Information Technology, Research Science, Manufacturing, and a wider variety of other businesses.

In addition, Ms. Myers offers I-9 compliance advice to businesses and assists them in developing immigration compliance plans. The firm also offers family immigration to individuals wishing to sponsor a relative or spouse for permanent residency in the U.S.

Ms. Myers is a graduate of the University of Alabama law school (1984) and has practiced immigration law for 22 years in the Birmingham area. Before that time she practiced in the area of employment law and civil litigation. Prior to starting her own firm in late 2011, she practiced with two large firms in Birmingham, for several years: Haskell, Slaughter, Young and Rediker and Bradley Arant Rose & White.

She has been selected for Best Lawyers for Immigration (2010, 2011, and 2012) and has an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell, and is a frequent speaker on the topic of immigration in the community.
