On January 27, 2023, USCIS announced that the fiscal year H-1B cap lottery will open at noon eastern Time on March 1, 2023, and close at noon Eastern time on March 17, 2023. During this time prospective petitioners and representatives will be able to complete and submit their registration through using the online registration system. Please contact us if you as an employer are interested in trying to obtain an H-1B number for a Beneficiary and we will explain the process. The registration process can begin as of February 21st.
For this reason it is important to make plans early if you have an employee on Optional Practical Training who needs to obtain H-1B status, or foreign national you wish to hire who has never worked for a cap subject company.
